Gjermund Eide

Senior advisor at Kruse Larsen

Gjermund has a background from the Norwegian Armed Forces and brings extensive experience from his 40-year career as an officer. 

He served as the military adviser to NATO’s Secretary General from 2014 to 2024, holding this position throughout Jens Stoltenberg’s tenure as NATO Secretary General.

Before this role, Gjermund was the Head of Communications for the Chief of Defence and the Norwegian Armed Forces. He has also served as the National Contingent Commander for Norwegian forces in Afghanistan and as a military adviser to the Minister of Defence.

Gjermund holds a master’s degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College in Washington, USA. He has also attended the two-year Command and Staff College at the Swedish Defence University, as well as the Norwegian Command and Staff College and the Army Academy in Oslo.

At Kruse Larsen, he will focus particularly on international relations, security, and defense.
